He Makana O Aloha


Halau Hula HE MAKANA O ALOHA has taught, shared and performed, non-competitive hula for several generations, and is ongoing, under the direction of
Kumu Hula ~ Ali'i Manu O Kai for many years.


HE MAKANA O ALOHA ~ also has hula halau in the Mainland US, Japan, and China.

Located in the heart of Waikiki in the Waikiki Community Center, He Makana O Aloha has been spreading Aloha through the song, dance and teachings of hula and Hawaiian culture lead by the teaching of Kumu Hula Ali'i Manu O Kai for many years.


He Makana O Aloha is a non-competitive halau that has taught, shared and performed for several generations spreading the aloha spirit and the philosophy that "Hula is Aloha and Aloha is for EVERYONE!"


He Makana O Aloha is open for new students as well as old. The halua accepts students from ages 12 - 133. Classes are heald on Friday & Saturday (please see schedule).


Private classes/lessons and workshops can be arranged in English and Japanese, please contact for private lessons information.




Classes Include: Hula Auana and Hula Kahiko, Basic Steps, Hand & Body Movement, Hawaiiana, Song & Dance and Aloha Spirit

Halau Schedule

  • WCC Aloha Hula - Saturday 9:00-10:30am

  • Saturday - 9:30 - 11:00 am - Open Class ~ Everyone is welcome ages 12 & up

  • Sunday - 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm - Advance Class (by invitation only)
